The Student Finance Service works in partnership with the Student Loans Company (SLC) who are based in Glasgow. Our Service administers applications for financial support for students starting higher education in 2008 or earlier.

In Cambridgeshire we deal with approx. 12,500 applications each year from students living within Cambridgeshire County and Peterborough Unitary Authority area.

The type of financial support available includes:

 - Loans & grant to assist with living costs  (depending on level of household income)

 - Non means tested tuition fee loan  

 - Disabled Student Allowance, help if you have 
   a disability

 - Help for students who have children or other
   dependants
