Commons registration searches
Information for solicitors and conveyancing professionals
Requests for searches of the registers of common land and town or village greens should be directed to the Highways and Access Searches Team.
Our responsibility extends throughout the county of Cambridgeshire except for the Peterborough City Council area.
Search requests can be submitted either via the online NLIS service, or by post.
The search fee is £14 and searches should be submitted as an additional question on the CON29 land charges search form.
Our DX number is DX 137870 Cambridge 9.
What is NLIS?
NLIS is the National Land Information Service. It provides a fast e-conveyancing service which includes the common land and village green searches. Benefits of NLIS include the ability to check the progress of searches online, and it has fewer delays than a paper based service.
For further information visit the NLIS website through the link in the right hand column, or telephone NLIS on 0870 2406760
