Did you know...
70% of adults do not take enough exercise to benefit their health?
Fortunately, walking is an easy way for many of us to become more active and help to improve our well-being.
Some great things about walking:
- Almost anyone can do it
- NO special equipment needed
- It's free!
Healthy body and mind
Walking regularly as a form of exercise has been shown to reduce the risk of many serious medical conditions, including coronary heart disease, hypertension and diabetes.
Participation in regular physical exercise (such as walking) not only has a beneficial effect on your physical health, but has also been shown to positively affect mood and confidence. Walking can also be an excellent way to help weight management.
