Records Search

The map case officer will also conduct a search of all the records in the County Records Office to see whether there is any documentary evidence to support that a Public Right of Way exists over the claimed route.

This includes:

• First and Second Edition Ordnance Survey maps
• Inclosure Awards and Maps
• Tithe Apportionments and Maps
• The 1910 Finance Act Maps
• Railway and canal survey maps and schedules
• Quarter session rolls and any other available documentary evidence.
