Sixth stage - Timescale
The application for modification orders follows a set procedure and timescale.
A 12-month target
The Definitive Map Unit currently aims to determine (i.e. resolve whether or not to make an Order) all applications for Definitive Map Modification Orders within 12 months of receipt, in accordance with schedule 14 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. At times there is a backlog of applications, which may affect this timescale.
