Information Pack for Farmers
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Biodiversity Partnership is working to help farmers maximise the wildlife on their land with the introduction of the Farmers’ Biodiversity Information Pack. The pack is an easy-to-use resource, which provides concise, expert advice on farm management that can benefit the local environment.
The Pack was launched in April 2004 and contains information on 13 different habitats that are important to Cambridgeshire, their value for wildlife and management approaches that will benefit this biodiversity. A local case study is provided for each habitat, including Andrew Green’s wetland creation project on his farm near Wicken and George Munn’s sensitive ditch management and field margins in Chatteris.
The information for the pack was collated by the Biodiversity Partnership, the Farmers Conservation Group and the Farming and Wildlife Conservation Group.
