In about 1993 the former Rural Group produced an audio guide to places of interest in the Cambridgeshire countryside (which then included Peterborough). The guide particularly addressed the needs of people with visual disabilities.
Cassette tapes are now distinctly old technology, so we have now transferred a selection of the material to a form which can be accessed through this website.
Although some of the information is inevitably now out of date (telephone numbers, bus services ...) and one of the sites has since closed, much has not changed, and we hope that users of this web site can still enjoy these selected audio guides and find inspiration to leave the computer behind and visit some of the places described.
Transcripts of the four recordings are available under 'publications', and as separate pages.
We would be interested to hear what you think of these recordings.
