GAF 2 Northstowe rights of way project

Northstowe is a planned new town to the north of Cambridge, part of a designated development area.

Improvements to countryside access in the surrounding area were delivered using growth area funding (GAF2) in 2006-2008.

Following the principles laid out in the Rights of Way Improvement Plan, the project helped to establish good practice for the countryside access improvements requried for future housing development in Cambridgeshire.

The project was supported by the Department for Communities and Local Government as part of the advance provision for new housing in the M11 corridor.

A range of resources developed during the project are linked on the left.

The final project report is linked from 'publications' on the right.
