Cambridgeshire has nearly 10% of the byway mileage in England. Some are subject to Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), which restrict some recreational motor use to protect vulnerable surfaces, either throughout the year or by season. Most of our seasonal TROs apply from October to April, inclusive, but some to the east of Ely apply to the end of May. Restrictions may be extended in especially wet conditions.
As the TRO restrictions vary widely, we are now publishing both a TRO summary and scans of individual TRO documents to help users. Some of the files linked below are large and may take some time to load.
