Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Minerals and Waste Plan Preferred Options Consultation (Reg 26)
Extras

Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council have now jointly prepared a new draft of the Minerals and Waste Plan. This Plan will be vital in ensuring that construction materials are available to support planned growth in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and that sustainable waste management is in place for existing and planned new communities.

In November 2006 the draft plan set out the Council’s preferred options in terms of policies which will guide minerals and waste development until 2021, and included site specific proposals.

The consultation on the Preferred Option Plan took place between the 6 November and 18 December 2006.

Thank you for your participation.

The responses received are currently being processed. A full copy of responses can be viewed on the interactive plan hosted by Peterborough City Council. Please see the link on the right hand side.

An executive summary can be downloaded on the right hand side of this page.

Following the Preferred Options Consultation it has been decided that further studies and work need to be undertaken, and that a second consultation, Preferred Options 2, should take place in September/October 2008. For further details of the timetable please see the Cambridgeshire Minerals and Waste development Scheme on the left hand side.
