The publication of business development statistics following the annual development survey at 31 March 2011 can be seen below.
Key findings from the latest survey are highlighted in the Summary Report (323Kb) and include:
- A moderate 113,547 sqm of new business floorspace was completed in Cambridgeshire during 2010-2011.
- This has resulted in a net gain of only 20,251 sqm. This is an increase on the additional floorspace that was created in 2009–2010.
- There is no shortage of committed business land in Cambridgeshire.
- Since 1999, just over 35% of business development has been built on previouslydeveloped (‘brownfield’) land. This proportion has reached 80% in 2010-2011.
Summary information tables are available for download in the publications section and detailed site by site completion and commitment figures are available on request.
Results from the 2011 survey supersede all previously-published figures.
