Our representations on the Regional Plan

The former East of England Regional Assesmbly (EERA) undertook a review of the East of England Plan which currently sets out the scale and distribution of development within the region.

As part of this review the County Council submitted a number of responses as follows:

  • Initial Section 4(4) Advice as Strategic Planning Authority to EERA 7th January and 16th February 2009.
  • Final Section 4(4) and Section 5(5) advice as Strategic Planning Authority to EERA: 3rd June 2009 (covering e-mail and related document).
  • Final response submitted on behalf of the Cambridgeshire Authorities: 9th December 2009.
  • Response relating to suggested changes to the Cambridge Sub Region policies: 16th December 2009.

The final response to EERA's Growth Scenarios consultation was based upon the outcome of technical studies, stateholder events and consultation with both residents and businesses within the County.

Further details of the responses made by the County Council and related background information is available to view on the webpage (in the list of publications).

The Government is intending to abolish regional plans through the Localism Act. Please refer to the webpages to the right for the most recent work which is being undertaken by the Cambridgeshire authorities in relation to the scale and distribution of development within the County.

Other background documents which were used to inform the preparation of the final response are available on request.
