Pollution: So what are the alternatives?
Road transport now accounts for around 25% of the UK's CO2 emissions, a key factor in causing global warming. In recognition of this, the government has set up the Energy Saving Trust (EST) which encourages energy efficiency and cleaner fuels for transport.
