We have not changed our policy on recycling. We are the top shire county for recycling in the country and are proud of this achievement – but we think we can do more. We are continuing to work hard to encourage the reduction and reuse of waste in the first place and then to increase what we recycle.

The high recycling and composting targets set out in the Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough remain current and all the councils which make up the RECAP Waste Partnership, including Cambridgeshire County Council, are continuing to implement this 20 year strategy.
