How to Dispose of Bulky Items of Waste

Bulky items include any items of household waste that are too big to fit into your collection. These often include old fridges, washing machines, beds sofas and so on.

What should I do with them?

· Recycling Centres
Bulky items from your own household can be taken to any of the Household Waste Recycling Centres in Cambridgeshire free of charge.

Please note: all items are accepted at the managers discretion and there are restrictions on the type and size of vehicles allowed into the sites.

· District Councils
If you are unable to transport your item(s) your District/City Council provides a bulky items collection service. (For their charges see the links to the individual districts.)

· Private Contractors
See the link for a list of private disposal companies contact details in order to contact the company direct.

· Local Charities and Community Groups
Some local charities and community groups are willing to collect resaleable items free of charge.
