Question:
Christmas Cards- What should you do with them?
Answer:
Normal Christmas cards (and other cards) fall into the recycling category of paper. Please be careful not to put cards with glitter, plastic and other novelty non-paper items into paper recycling facilities.
Shops in your area may be running schemes collecting Christmas cards at the end of the season.
You should be able to get up to date information on these by calling us on 0845 045 5207. Otherwise just keep an eye out!
Alternatively you can use one of the following:
1. Recycling Centres
You can recycle greetings cards in the paper banks at all Household Waste Recycling Centres.
2. District Councils
Some district/city councils will offer a kerbside paper collection service in addition to the usual waste collection service.
3)Local 'bring' facilities for recycling will usually have paper banks.
Please contact your district/city council for more details of bring facilities and collections.
