Real Nappies

Using reusable nappies, reduce the amount of landfilled waste

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Real Nappy Network

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Real Nappy Network is a voluntary group run by parents that promotes the use of washable nappies and thus to reduce the environmental impact of disposable nappies.

What are real nappies?
Real nappies are reusable cotton nappies - they are the best alternative to disposable nappies.

Why should I use them?
Real Nappies are more environmentally friendly because:

They are re-usable so they help to reduce the total amount of waste going to landfill

They reduce the risk of infection by ensuring sewage waste is properly treated instead of going to landfill

They will also save you money! Research has shown that using cotton nappies until your baby is potty trained is cheaper than buying disposables
