We do things differently in Cambridgeshire when it comes to planning and transport.
Cambridgeshire remains a county where significant growth needs to be delivered. Its planning and delivery challenges are second to none. This element of the Graduate programme is based in the Directorate of Sustainable Infrastructure.
We have a highly dedicated Directorate that is the corporate focus for the delivery of the growth agenda in Cambridgeshire.
The Directorate is committed to the development of sustainable and successful new communities. The Directorate is delivering key infrastructure such as the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway and working in partnership within and outside of the Council to ensure the new communities have the right facilities and community development support, at the right time, to ensure their success.
Considerable challenges stem from delivering this growth. The need to achieve sustainable development by bringing forward the necessary transport infrastructure is a good example of where the Directorate makes a difference.
Participating in secondment opportunities outside of the Council is strongly encouraged. You will also study for a relevant professional qualification.
