Benefits of working for Cambridgeshire County Council

Cambridgeshire offers a range of benefits to school staff, from a wide and accessible variety of Continuing Professional Development programmes, to medical schemes, to the CamCard scheme offering discounts in local shops, businesses and restaurants.

We look after our school staff, too, through schemes such as the Staff Well-Being programme. See also the Keyworkers Housing Scheme (link on right).

Advertisement of posts
Teaching and other posts in Cambridgeshire schools are advertised on the Education Personnel Management website. Teaching posts in secondary schools also appear in the Times Educational Supplement. Posts also appear in local newspapers:

  • Cambridge Evening News
  • Fenland Citizen
  • Hunts Post

Application forms for programmes such as the Return to Teaching courses and the Graduate Teacher Programme are posted at appropriate times of the year on the Cambridgeshire Education Portal. Enter the name of the programme you are looking for in the ‘search’ box on the home page.

Newly qualified teachers
NQTs seeking posts in Cambridgeshire primary schools should go to www.epm.co.uk where almost all primary vacancies are advertised. Some secondary schools also advertise on this website, others use the TES.
