JIGSAW - Piecing together Cambridgeshire's past

Cambridgeshire County Council in collaboration with Oxford Archaeology East (OAE) have successfully been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to support community archaeology in Cambridgeshire for the next five years.

Check out the Jigsaw website for more information about the project and to get involved.

The Jigsaw community archaeology project aims to help set up new local community archaeology groups (Archaeology Action groups) in each of the five Districts, who will be trained and supported by two new Community Archaeologists to investigate, research and help protect the county's archaeology. It will provide volunteer opportunities, schools resources and support local involvement in heritage. In addition to setting up new groups, the project will also invite existing archaeology groups to join in and benefit from project provided training and equipment. Wherever you live the project can offer something for you!
