Community Archaeology

As part of Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridgeshire Archaeology is committed to serving the community by widening access to archaeology and encouraging the involvement of community groups in the archaeology of their surroundings.

Community Archaeology projects allow local communities to become directly involved in the preservation, investigation and promotion of their local heritage.

Cambridgeshire Archaeology runs its Community Archaeology project through partnership schemes with the Local Heritage Initiative (using a Heritage Lottery Fund grant) and District Councils.

If you have any projects you wish to develop or if you would like to become involved in an on-going project please contact the Outreach & Learning Officer.
