Hinchingbrooke Iron Age Farm at dawn

The end of Hinchingbrooke Iron Age Farm

After 13 years the Iron Age Farm project at Hinchingbrooke Country Park has come to an end. The round house was burnt down late on 3rd November 2006, probably as a result of vandalism. The Samhain Tales on Saturday October 28th was the last event to be held at the farm.

The Iron Age Farm project was a partnership between Cambridgeshire County Council Archaeology section and the Hinchingbrooke Country Park Rangers, a section of Huntingdonshire District Council Countryside Services Team.

An Ancient Technology centre is being considered for the Huntingdon area from 2008-9 but at a different location.
