Document conservation service

Damaged parchment volume

Cambridgeshire Archives Service is the first choice in Cambridgeshire for advice on how to preserve historical documents and photographs.

Our conservation team safeguards all the documents we hold, by monitoring the storage standards in both Record Offices, and by repairing documents which have arrived in a fragile or damaged state.

In addition to providing a conservation service for documents deposited with Cambridgeshire Archives Service, the conservation team is always happy to help and advise you in caring for your own papers and photographs.

For more information about how to look after your own records, please click on the documents below.
