Extras
Registers of electors, 1920s

Cambridgeshire Archives and Local Studies' policy statements, reports to Committee, and summaries of statistical information are available online.

The County Archives Advisory Group (CAAG) provides a channel of communication between District Councils and the County on issues relating to the Public Records and Archives Service as well as a forum for discussion of common problems.

Please follow the links in the right hand column. When you follow a link to a Minutes page or a Report page, you will be asked to "select the meeting" - please choose either "County Archives Advisory Group" or "County Archives Advisory Group on Archives and Local Studies" from the drop-down list in the box.

You will also see links to policy documents in the right-hand column. They are:

  • the main Archives Service Policy, containing the mission statement and policy objectives, adopted by Cambridgeshire County Council in January 1995
  • the Archives Service Collecting Policy, adopted by Cambridgeshire County Council in October 2003
  • the HMC Standard for Records Repositories, as adopted by Cambridgeshire County Council in October 2003.
  • the Archives Service Research Enquiry Policy, which gives details about written enquiry response times and fees for searches.
