Nene Valley Railway

Originally called the Peterborough Locomotive Society. Peterborough Development Corporation gave its backing to a local steam railway in 1970, and in 1977 the Nene Valley Railway Ltd began steam train services for the public between Orton and Wansford. Although primarily known for its recreational passenger services, the company also carries commercial freight, and supplies engines for film and TV productions.

Huntingdonshire Archives holds a major series of civil engineering plans of the lines now operated by the company.
