Papworth Village Settlement

The Cambridgeshire Tuberculosis Colony was founded initially at Bourn in 1915 and moved to Papworth Hall in neighbouring Papworth Everard in February 1918, taking the name Papworth Village Settlement, by which it is best known, in 1927.

Cambridgeshire Archives has a substantial number of records of the Settlement and of Pendrill Charles Varrier-Jones (1883-1941), who ran the establishment. More details about our Papworth Archives Project can be found by following the link in the Links column on the right.

The catalogues are available on our online CALM database.
