Many of our catalogues, for documents at both Cambridge and Huntingdon Record Offices, are now available online. Please follow the link in the righthand column.
A2A: Access to Archives
Cambridgeshire County Council is contributing to the National Archives' Access to Archives (A2A) project, which is a national project designed to make the catalogues of hundreds of archive repositories across England available on the Internet. These catalogues are combined into one single database on the A2A website, to make searching easier. A2A allows you to search across detailed catalogues from nearly two hundred repositories, and to arrange to see or to request copies of archive documents with a few mouse clicks. The database is regularly updated.
The Cromwell Collection
The County Record Office Huntingdon is a partner in Cambridgeshire Libraries' Cromwell Collection project, which aims to make Huntingdon a centre of excellence for studies into Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658) and his times. The Collection's website includes an online database of original documents held at CRO Huntingdon relevant to the Cromwellian era.
The National Archives
Many records relating to Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire can be found at The National Archives in London. The TNA site includes an online searchable database.
