Based at Huntingdon Library and Archives with satellite collections at St Neots and St Ives libraries.
The Huntingdonshire Collection contains over 3000 books and pamphlets. Historical material relates to the old county of Huntingdonshire while current material covers the District of Huntingdonshire.
Within the main collection are two smaller special collections: the Pepys Collection relating to Samuel Pepys, and the Little Gidding Collection relating to Nicholas Ferrar and the community at Little Gidding.
Archive resources, including historical photographs, are available at Huntingdonshire Archives.
Visiting the Huntingdonshire Collection
The main part of the Huntingdonshire Collection is based on the first floor of Huntingdon Library and Archives.
Access to the local studies collection is free. You do not need a library or CARN (County Archives Research Network) ticket to consult the reference resources. However, some items may be also available as part of the loan stock and you will need a Cambridgeshire library card to borrow those.
