On Monday 25 April 2005 the Huntingdon Freemen's Charity presented a cheque for £20,000 towards work on the first phase of the Project.

The Charity's Freemen, officers and other guests had the opportunity to see an exhibition of some of the Borough's original documents at the County Record Office Huntingdon, and to talk to those working on the Project.
