Saturday opening at the Archives

Cambridgeshire Archives at Shire Hall in Cambridge, is open on the third Saturday of each month from 09:00 to 16:00.

The archives searchroom is situated on the ground floor of Shire Hall, which is a large local government building containing many offices.

For security reasons visitors are required to make a prior appointment to visit us on a Saturday. Archive documents must be pre-ordered before visiting, because no documents can be produced during the course of the day. Nevertheless there are many other sources available which do not need pre-ordering, such as transcripts of parish registers, some OS maps, and the public access computers.

Huntingdonshire Archives at Huntingdon Library and Archives, is open on the second Saturday of each month from 09:30 to 16:00.

No prior appointment is necessary, and documents may be produced upon request during the course of the day.
