Community Archive Network Project

The Cambridgeshire Community Archives Network project is taking place in locations across Cambridgeshire. Amongst the first Community Archive Group bases were Wisbech Community House, Wisbech Museum, Chatteris Museum, March Museum, Ramsey Rural Museum, to name but a few.

This project includes artists working in schools to generate ideas and finished pieces of work inspired by the local community archive collection. Sixteen schools will be involved in the project over 2 years.

The artists will work with pupils in the way best suited to the school and the artist; to date, schools have worked in photography, mural/trompe l’oeil and mixed media relief work. Watch this space to see what happens!
