Workshops in The Arkenstall Primary School were one aspect of a month-long Indonesian Festival in Haddenham, East Cambs.
270 Key Stages 1 & 2 children participated in the workshops and demonstration, working with performance and visual artists from Indonesia.
This bursary supported the work in the Robert Arkenstall Primary School, Witchford Village College also took part and this was funded separately.
The workshops were in dance and gamelan music. All the pupils were thoroughly focussed as they were introduced to the instruments, gaining an understanding of the culture as well as its music.
There was also a 3 day workshop at the Arkenstall Centre, where children worked with shadow puppets.
