The whole of Caldecote Primary School - 94 pupils - were involved in creating a living willow sculpture in the school grounds.
Pupils worked with willow artist, Debbie Hall, to design and construct the willow maze/labyrinth over several weeks. CRB checks were renewed where necessary for the artist and assistants on the project.
Concepts of journey, life story, environment and previous civilisations were explored by the children to inspire an imaginative design which the artist then drew up and presented in assembly.
As construction got underway, parents were invited to lend a hand in the weaving process, and local landowners supported the construction with supplies of willow.
