Welcome to the Literature Development page

Cambridgeshire’s rich literary heritage is well known and enjoyed both nationally and internationally. The county has a thriving contemporary literary scene. Cambridgeshire County Council employs a Literature Development Officer based in Libraries to assist the growth and maximise the potential for literature activity across the County 

Range of Activities

- Providing information, support and guidance to individual writers, promoters and other local agencies and organisations

- Funding/initiating local community literature projects, cross art-form collaborations, performance events, festivals and education programmes

- Supporting and helping to develop creative reading and writing opportunities

- Developing creative partnerships to attract additional funding
