Planning for the future
These documents outline our plans for the forthcoming year and allow us to review our performance during the previous year
Until 2003, library services across the country prepared Annual Library Plans, outlining what they intended to do during the forthcoming year and reporting on progress made within the service during the previous year
ALPs were submitted to Central Government via the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. They were also used by both members and officers of local authorities to guide service planning and delivery and to identify resource needs
Our last ALP (2002-2005) is available from Publications on the right hand side. Please note that this file is in pdf format and may take some time to load (the file is 1.6mb)
From 2003, library authorities were required to prepare a Public Library Position Statement
Our last statement is available from Publications on the right hand side. Please note that this file is in pdf format and may take some time to load (the file is 324kb)
Following a government assessment of "excellent" for the Public Library Position Statement 2003, Cambridgeshire was required to submit a shorter report for 2004, focussing solely on our performance against the public library standards. This "Public Library Standards Report" was duly submitted and received an score of "good" when assessed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in late 2004
The Standard Report is available from Publications on the right hand side. Please note that this file is in pdf format and may take some time to load (the file is 425kb)
