You are welcome to use your laptop in the library.
Your laptop can be plugged in to our power supply provided certain safeguards are adhered to:
1. Staff will need to identify sockets that are ACCESSIBLE ie. not hidden or difficult to get at and positioned so that no-one can trip on the wire.
2. Staff will need to carry out a visual check of any laptop that needs to be plugged in to establish that there is no obvious hazard such as damage, bare wires, discolouration indicating overheating or labels over the airvents etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Not all libraries will be able to offer this facility. Please check before you make your visit
You will not be required to sign an indemnity form
