Delivering the library service

There are 32 libraries and 8 mobile library vehicles in Cambridgeshire.  In addition we provide a range of centrally based services and are partners in 10 Library Access points

Library Service Levels

Cambridgeshire’s building-based libraries are organised into service levels to enable appropriate resources – staffing, books, media, computers etc. – to be applied in a relevant and consistent way. The service level, which is linked to population, also determines the number of hours for which the library is open.

Level 1 - Community Library: Serves a population of less than 7,000;  open for 10-26 hours per week
