Older People and EngAGE

Introduction

The EngAGE project is an initiative developed by Cambridgeshire County Council Community and Adult Services to develop services for people over 50 years old. The project provides a range of opportunities e.g. monthly social events held at local libraries, IT/computer assistance for beginners with our Computer Buddies, opportunities to volunteer and support your local library, knitting groups, T’ai Chi and Senior Circuits classes.

Opportunities for you to EngAGE with your Library:

Memory boxes

EngAGE has also been instrumental in creating Memory boxes (29Kb) with ten different themes, which are available across the county. These are frequently used to support Reminiscence sessions at EngAGE in the Afternoon/Morning events. The boxes are also available for loan to the community, e.g. residential and sheltered housing schemes, day centres and groups.
