: picture books and fiction for children whose first language is not English, or who just want to read a story in another language

Children’s PCs with fun, book-related and useful websites for homework. Free to use for 30 minutes at a time.
Most libraries also have children’s DVDs to borrow – weekly charge applies.
We also hold a very popular annual Summer Reading Challenge to encourage children to keep reading over the long summer holidays (thousands of children take part each year), as well as a variety of other holiday activities (please check 'News and Events' for details).
