  • Junior Non-fiction: information books on a whole range of subjects, arranged in subject order, including poetry and joke books
  • Story collections: fairy tales and short story collections

  • Children’s PCs with fun, book-related and useful websites for homework. Free to use for 30 minutes at a time.

Most libraries also have children’s DVDs to borrow – weekly charge applies.

We also hold a very popular annual Summer Reading Challenge to encourage children to keep reading over the long summer holidays (thousands of children take part each year), as well as a variety of other holiday activities (please check 'News and Events' for details).
