How do children join the library?
Children of any age can join the library - and it's free! Here's how...
- If you can show us your school homework book or some other identification (e.g. bus pass) you can join and take out two items immediately. This will be introductory membership.
- To get full membership, someone over 18 (preferably your Mum, Dad or guardian) must sign your joining form and show the library one proof of their name and address - then you can borrow up to 12 items at a time.
- If you are over 16 but under 18, you don't need anyone else with you for full membership, but you need to prove your own name and address. There is no need for proof of age. You may not borrow '18' DVDs.
- Once you have your library card you can use it in any public library in Cambridgeshire to borrow books, stories on CD and DVDs.
