Some reading groups combine reading and knitting.

We also hold author events where guests come in to talk about their work.

Reading groups

Most libraries have reading groups that are open to new members. There are also many groups that meet elsewhere, but get their books from the library.

If you're already in a book club, we can give you a reading group card which will allow you to borrow multiple copies for a longer period of time.

If you'd like to join an existing group, ask a member of staff or look on Cambridgeshire.net for a group near you.

Knitting groups

Come along to your local library for a knit and a chat. Open to any age group.

These are informal groups meeting in several libraries, for readers who like to knit or knitters who like to read. Some members knit for charity and others just bring along their own projects.
