e-Books download service
The e-books service allows you to download e-books onto your computer, e-book reader, tablet or smartphone.
How to use the e-books service
- You must be a library member. If you are not a member, please join the library first, as you will need to log in with your library card and PIN numbers

Create an Adobe ID

Log in to the e-books system and begin downloading
- You can also search for e-books on the online catalogue
Read detailed instructions for downloading e-books to PC, MAC and mobile devices.
Features of this service:
- this service is free
- you can download up to 4 e-books (including 2 requests) for up to 21 days
- no overdues, as loans expire after 3 weeks. Items cannot be renewed
- fiction and non-fiction titles available in EPUB and PDF formats
- compatible with PCs, MACs and most e-book readers except Kindle (this is a restriction placed on Kindle by Amazon). Also downloadable directly on to iPad, iPhone and Android phones
- this service is accessible only from outside the library network and not in the libraries

Audio books download service
Cambridgeshire Libraries has launched its e-audio service by One Click Digital.
To use this service you will need to be a library member before you can create a new account. You can register for the e-audio service following this link.
The User Guide.doc document can help you create an account and download to your computer or audio device.
Features of this service:
- It's free
- Hundreds of bestselling audiobooks to choose from
- Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Compatible with some iPod, MP3 players, tablets (e.g iPad and Android) and personal computers
- No waiting lists - all titles have unlimited availability
- Can be returned early
- Is not available on libraries public computers and WiFi connections.

Library mobile app
Sorcer Mobile, is a library application for mobile devices that lets you check your account anywhere and at any time.
With Sorcer Mobile you can see at a glance your current loans and reservations, including your borrowing history and any outstanding charges. You can also renew your loans easily.
The app is free to download to your mobile device:
- For iPhone and iPad, use iTunes to search and download the app
- For Android phones and tablets use Google Play store.
App installation instructions
- Search for 'Sorcer Mobile' on the relevant app store, on your mobile device.
- Install the app.
- Open the Sorcer Mobile app and add 'Cambridgeshire Libraries'.
- Enter your library card barcode and PIN number.
- The app is ready to use.
