Please click here to browse our listing of periodicals

To browse the listing type a term into the 'Browse on' box e.g. 'Cambridge' and click the box 'Periodical Title'

The periodicals matching the term will appear.  You can scroll through the listing by clicking on 'Next'

For more information click on the periodical title itself  e.g. 'Cambridge Evening News'.  The tab 'Item Information' will tell you which libraries take the title.  If you click on the tab 'Catalogue Record' you will see how far back our holdings extend

We do not lend out any of this material but we can arrange to photocopy or print out selected articles on request subject to copyright

Summary of papers in libraries

Hub libraries (Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, March, Wisbech and Ely Libraries) take:

- at least one national paper local to their area

Most community libraries take the local weekly paper, and the jobs edition of the local daily paper

The archives of some major newspapers are held in libraries as microfiche, microfilm, or are available on CD Rom

Journals, magazines and periodicals

We take vocational and specialist periodical titles with an emphasis on providing titles that carry job vacancies or have an on-going reference value

Some titles are circulated to several libraries in turn

Back issues are available for most titles.  The extent of the backfile depends on the nature of the title

Local publications are held in the local history sections of the larger libraries
