All of these are available for loan; smaller libraries do not stock all formats but you can request any item for delivery at your local library.

Videos and DVD's

Available at
 -  videos at most libraries, including 2 of our mobile libraries (The Learning vehicle and The Branch Mobile)
 - DVD’s at Cambridge Central, Ely, Great Shelford, Histon, Huntingdon, March, Rock Rd., St Ives, St Neots, Whittlesey and Wisbech.

Please note - some video suppliers sell videos/DVD's for rent at a different time and price than those intended for individual purchase.  Where this applies we may not stock them as early as other commercial outlets

Talking Books (storytapes)

Available at - all libraries and mobile libraries

Stock includes - over 17,000 titles, including both full and abridged works.  Most talking books are on cassette tape although there is a small but growing number available on CD
 
Please note - if you are visually impaired you are entitled to borrow talking books from the Postal Tape Service (POTS) - see link on the right

Music CD's

Available at - larger libraries

Stock includes - pop, folk and classical CD's.  We also have a range of music scores - click here for further details 

Please note -  under the terms of the agreement between all library services and the BPI- the British Phonographic Industry, we cannot make new CD’s available in libraries until 3 months after their release date unless the individual record company waives the holdback period.

CD Roms

Available at - Cambridge Central Library
 
Stock includes - titles for both adults and children on a range of popular topics

Please note -  copyright restrictions on CD Rom publishing mean that many titles produced in this format are not available for libraries to acquire for loan
