Cromwell Scrapbook Challenge for 2008

The Cromwell Scrapbook is an activity for children of all ages that everybody in the family can join in. It is a way of keeping your own memories of the activities at the Museum in 2008, and adding anything else you might find or discover about Cromwell that interests you, or that you think will be of interest to others, now and in the future.

The Museum will give you your own Cromwell Scrapbook if you call in at the Museum anytime from 9th February onwards. There is no charge for the book, but a donation to the Museum, suggested amount 50p would be appreciated.

The Challenge is this! Every school holiday throughout the year from February to October, there will be a different activity organised in the Museum. When you pick up your scrapbook we will register your details and send you reminders of each new activity when it is about to happen.

The activity will result in you having something to stick in your book as a reminder of your visit. You are also invited to add anything to your book that you find or create over the year about Cromwell. It may be a press cutting, a drawing of something you've seen, a story you have written, a photograph of somewhere you have visited or an event that you have been to that has a Cromwellian connection.

At the end of October, after the last activity, you will be invited to bring your scrapbook into the Museum for judging in our Scrapbook Challenge Competition. The best of the books will be put on display in the Museum in early 2009, and there will be a prize for the winner.

The following terms apply:

Only one scrapbook will be given to each entrant.
All entrants will be required to give their contact details, e-mail preferred.
All books submitted for judging may be displayed, copied or reproduced in any way considered appropriate by the Museum.
The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into about their decision.
All books submitted for judging will be returned if requested and if submitted with an appropriate stamped addressed envelope, or may be collected from the Museum during opening hours by a date to be specified when submitted.
