Playground to Podium
The search is on for the next generation of Paralympic Athletes!
There are talent ID sessions in 5 sports happening around the County in May and June. Playground to Podium is a national initiative to get more young disabled people playing sport and to maximise their potential.
The programme is aimed at young people who have a physical, hearing or visual impairment and people with a general intellectual/learning disability with an IQ less than 75.
The sessions on offer are:

At each of the sessions sports coaches will assess each young person’s skills, to support them to further progress within that sport and along its Paralympic or impairment appropriate pathway. In most cases the young person will be offered the opportunity to train with a local club.

Physical activity for all
Do you or your team run physical activity sessions for children and young people with Asthma, Diabetes, Obesity or Congenital Heart Conditions?
This course has been designed for specialist and non-specialist PE teachers, play practitioners and other physical activity leaders wishing to improve their knowledge of medical conditions that may cause concern during PE lessons or physical activity sessions and school break-times.
