Cambridgeshire Youth Offending Service provides a range of support to Parents of young people who are either in the criminal justice system or who are at risk of becoming involved in offending.
Parenting support work is normally provided on a voluntary basis. A specialist parenting worker will deliver one-to-one sessions with the parent(s) concerned.
The court may, on occasions, make a 'Parenting Order'. This is delivered in the same way as voluntary parenting work, through structured one-to-one sessions. The difference is that participation in these orders can be enforced by the court.
Cambridgeshire is currently extending its parenting services. For further details contact the Youth Offending Service and ask to speak to the Parenting Co-Ordinator.
