Do you offer bespoke training delivered within organisations?

Yes, our trainers can provide training within your organisation, this includes;

  • Pre-training meeting with an Adult Safeguarding Trainer to discuss and plan a programme specifically tailored to your requirements.
  • Case Studies relevant to your service group
  • Time and venue to suit you

Do you have an e-learning package? How do I access it?

Yes, we do have an e-learning package for staff working in Cambridgeshire.  In order to gain access to it, please e-mail our adult safeguarding administrators providing the following details:

  • your organisation name
  • your job title
  • how many staff will be using e-learning

Once we have these details, you will be provided with access to the package.

There is no charge for this.

We recommend e-learning is used as a blended approach, in order to meet your organisations training needs.

If staff have responsibility for referring concerns to the adult safeguarding team, what course should they take?

Staff should complete the Professional Responsibilities (level 2) course.

If they are a manager, they should attend the Management Responsibilities course instead (level 3).

What would exclude delegates from training?

The adult safeguarding team are legally and ethically not obliged to train any member of staff who attends training directly following a night shift.

The adult safeguarding team may also turn you away if:

  • you are 30 mins or more late
  • you have not completed and returned the appropriate application form
  • you are not on the course register

I don't work within Cambridgeshire, can I still attend your courses?

The majority of our courses are tailored to Cambridgeshires' Adult Safeguarding Policy, Guidance and Procedures therefore, may not be appropriate to your learning needs.

I am employed as a personal assistant, can I access your training?

Yes, you can access our training for free if you support a user of services with Cambridgeshire.

We would recommend the Raising Awareness course (level 1), please see the flyer.

How many places per course from one organisation will you accept?

We accept 25% of the total number of places available per course. Each course size varies, but for instance, for Raising awareness the total number of places is 20, therefore, we will accept 5 delegates. If the course is not full two weeks before the date, additional places will be released to organisations requesting places over 25%.

This limitation does not apply to staff from CCC, CCS, CPFT and the NHS.
