We are committed to supporting birth relatives who have been affected by adoption issues. The Adoption Support Team is currently recruiting a specialist post that will work with birth relatives and provide independent and confidential counselling specifically to birth mothers who have been affected by adoption alongside other family members.

The team is also devising a series of workshops designed for birth relatives which will cover subjects such as letter writing, post box contact, direct contact and supporting relatives whose children have been placed under special guardianship with extended family members. These groups will run periodically throughout the year and dates will be posted on the internet as well as special flyers that will be sent out to targeted groups.
