Question:
Will my adopted child have to see their birth parents?
Answer:
The child you adopt may benefit from continuing to see birth parents or other important people in their lives, for example brothers and sisters or grandparents.
Contact can also be exchanging letters and photographs once or twice a year. All correspondence will be checked by the Post Adoption Service.
The level of contact depends on the child and what is best for the child but you will be advised of these arrangements before the child is placed with you.
